TITHING

When you tithe, you’re trusting God with your finances.

Tithing is a biblical principle. God calls us to give the first 10% of our income back to Him. We’ve seen God provide abundantly in our church, and we know He will provide abundantly for you and your family when you put Him first in your finances. In fact, it’s the one area in the Bible where God tells you to test Him.


“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” – Malachi 3:10 NIV

God gives us good things we don’t deserve and could never earn, like grace and forgiveness. He gave the ultimate gift, His son, for our sins. When you hear us talk about generosity, ​​that’s what we mean.

  • WHAT PAYMENT METHOD OPTIONS CAN I CHOOSE FROM?

    In addition to in-person offering, the CKLCI online giving program is configured to accept debit and credit card payments from Visa and MasterCard, via Givelify and Zelle.

  • CAN I DESIGNATE MY [GIVING] TO A SPECIFIC FUND?

    Yes, you are able to designate your giving to go to either the General Fund (Tithes/Offerings) or Designated Funds (Building, Benevolent/Outreach/Missions).

  • WITH RECURRING GIVING HOW CAN I UPDATE MY ACH DETAILS, DEBIT OR CREDIT CARD?

    You can update your card information at any time. 


    You will click the giving tab on the CKLCI website. Login to your Tithely account. Click the Global Settings button in the bottom-left corner of the screen, which is accessible from anywhere on the Tithely dashboard. Next, click Billing. Click the Change Card button at the top right-hand side of the screen in the Payment Method box.

  • RECORD OF GIVING

    You may request a giving statement from the CKLCI Accounting Office. The statement will

    cover both automated giving as well as any other offerings you give. Annual contribution

    statements are prepared and distributed in mid January of the following year.

  • ENVELOPE SYSTEM:

    When you complete an in-person gift of cash or a check, we ask that you complete a Giving Envelope. Please indicate your full (first and last) name, address, phone number, and the fund(s) you are giving towards.


    Tithes: A tithe is a giving 10% of one’s gross income.

    Offering: Giving a seed over and above the tithes.

    Pastoral Love Offering: A specific, sacrificial offering for the purpose of acknowledging and showing special appreciation for Pastor Tony A. Currie.
